    ***.

I'm with the rabble on this. Argyle hose, turndown collar.

    Congratulations.

However, I personally like wing collar shirts, but freely admit to being overly fond of anything even remotely Edwardian.
Congratulations, and best wishes to the new couple.

When I got married I wore a Prince Charlie, wing collar shirt, white bow tie, white waistcoat, white fur Evening Dress sporran, and buckled shoes. I didn't have tartan hose, so I wore Royal Blue hose.

I've always thought that wing collar shirts looked better with Prince Charlies. I seem to be in the minority!

Good plan. Fly plaids at parties are infamous for ending up in someone's cocktail.

On the other hand, as father of the bride, I would think you could wear pretty much anything you want just as long as you not "outshine" the groom (or bride, which you couldn't do anyway, no matter what ).

Screw the groom (LOL)! Just lay it all out and make sure your daughter is ok with it. I say if you are going to do it up, do it up all the way. I would do the winged collar myself with the plaid and argyle hose. Have fun and congrats!
    LOCH SLOY!
    Cheers, Wil
