Smashing outfitts to you both! Wish I was a member of xmarks when I was stationed out in Fallon back in 2010. I would have gone to Reno for the Burns supper for sure.

Rich, you and your wife look great (perfect really). Thanks for the link to the pictures; looks like you had a good time at that one (some interesting camera angles). I've been to a Burns dinner locally but nothing on that scale. Quite a staggering Haggis serving tray!

I swear I'm not losing my mind but when I lived there it was the Hilton. Was that a temporary change or an affiliation with MGM or Bally's?

    Also, nice meal YUM.

Is you wife serious about starting the pipes? I'm still learning myself and have been trying to contact someone from the pipeband there all to no avail. Are any of your rabble friends there part of the Highlanders?

Pipes have been put on hold after two neck surgeries and I've taken a serious cut in pay. . The Sierra Highland pipe band gives free lessons at one of the churches in downtown Reno on Tuesday nights. http://sierrahighlanderspipeband.com/Student_info.html

Well that isn't good- rapid recovery wishes your way.

Yes, I'm aware of the posted schedule. Being that I'm 3 hrs away and Tuesdays aren't always the best day for me to travel, I wanted to be inquire about alternate practice routes. IMy emails and calls to the posted contacts has gone unanswered.
