I had a great time Friday and Saturday, nice meeting some of the folks that post on here.
I got to show off my new outfit Friday, the only thing that was not new was my smile and all went great, the Brogues did start to hurt Saturday afternoon though.
Had good music and good food too. I am sure most of the food was on my diet.
I even managed to get a good case of sunburn too so I didnt go Sunday.

My wife and I drove from the highland lochs of Austin to the prairie lands of Arlington Saturday morning and I spent most of the afternoon at the Festival. It was a perfect day, but it looks like our group never got organized enough for a group picture. For me, I made a triple-header out of the weekend and attended an opening night of the opera in Ft. Worth Saturday and a matinee of another opera Sunday - all kilted. This is an example of how versatile a kilt can be. Start casual at the festival, shake the dust out of the kilt, add an Argyll jacket, formal sporran, etc. and your are perfect for the opera. For the next afternoon, a less formal jacket and sporran and you are off to another performance. Also ate at two restaurants in downtown Ft. Worth. Must have received a total of twenty compliments (no unpleasant remarks) which I attribute all to the kilt. Since I have not yet attracted any paparazzi, I have trouble getting pictures. Sorry, but this is all I have (and not very good) from the night of the opera.

CCK, we did get a picture, but it was before I saw you. Sorry I didn't have time to visit when you stopped by the tent. Here is the picture taken at noon, right after the wind tore my clan banner down.
