They seem to have been sold to Gaelic Themes group.
Not sure but that is how it looks to me.
The prices on tartanweb look quite good. Maybe too good?

I purchased a Piperflex argyll jacket for a new band member from Tartanweb back in 2011. It was identical in quality, materials and even maker to the jackets we had previously bought, at a much higher price, through a Canadian retailer. Unless Tartanweb has changed in the past two years, I would have no hesitation ordering from them again.

I ordered an ex hire grey Lochinver tweed jacket and waistcoat from them the other day, I have already had confirmation from them that it has been dispatched and delivery is expected tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes. Hopefully as its a 56L it won't have had much use.
Incidentally I am already impressed because they had my size in stock which in itself is a rarity. I ordered this jacket because a bespoke jacket that I ordered from another retailer is now 3-4 weeks overdue past their estimated shipping date.

Well having said that the jacket and waistcoat wasn't due till tomorrow, it's actually turned up today, so hurrah.
First impressions are that it's a first class garment made by St Kilda. It is in such good condition that it couldn't have been worn more than once. Even the back of the waistcoat has no creases. The stitching is all good and there is not a mark on it. Sizing is good. I ordered a size up from normal and I would say their sizing is pretty accurate. When you get up to mid 50's measurements 2 inches is nothing so it is if anything a tad on the generous size for me, but us GOS like to spread out a bit so it's really fine.
The fabric too is excellent 15oz lochinver tweed and it feels as though it will really be hard wearing. Good enough for everyday wear and feels as though the quality of the fabric will stand up to much abuse.
So this was my first purchase from the Scottish Tartan Store and on this review it certainly won't be my last.

Grizzly,
Can you just confirm the website you used please? I've had a look at tartanweb and can't find any ex hire stuff. I'm in the market for a jacket and waistcoat as well.
Steve.

Ha! Grizzly, I think you and I probably ordered the same jacket from the same supplier. Won't name them but based in Greenock? Mine is 6 weeks late but they just called me to say it was despatched today. To be fair, they did refund me in full while I was waiting and knocked 25% off. In the interim I was about to order that Lochinver tweed jacket set when I suddenly realised it was gone. Now I know where, ha ha. Good health to wear it as my Granny used to say.
