In the past, I've worn a dress Braemar with various types of accoutrements.

Now I've also got civilian mess jacket, so I'll probably wear that next time.

Someday I would like to get a velvet doublet, perhaps a sheriffmuir, but I don't have a jabot, yet.

The lady is Kathy Lare, who made both of my kilts, and the young(er) men (lots younger) are my son (Douglas WCWM kilt) and a friend (Hannay kilt).
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I've never really liked Prince Charlies all that much. I've always wanted a Regulation Doublet but never got around to ordering one... the cost is daunting.

We pipers all wear black Argyll jackets, and for many years that was my only black jacket, though recently I picked up a very nice PC on Ebay for cheap and I actually wore it a couple months ago

EDIT: the "kilt evolution" thread got me to look at some old photos... here's my first "black tie" kit, over 30 years ago. My grandmother made the kilt, I found matching hose by chance, and the PC and sporran were bought at a local Games, by a vendor who had no table... the PC and sporran were literally lying in the dirt, the PC with dirty footprints on it when I bought it.

Nice-looking PC. Great E-bay find. I like those buckled shoes, too.

I could never dress like that handsome fellow in the middle. My legs aren't strong enough to support all that hardware.
