    All of this is very solid advice.

    As was mentioned, lot depends on the occasion-

    If this is his first sporran and you want as much range of use as possible, a black hunting sporran is a great way to go. It's a little fancier than
    a standard day sporran, so it can be worn for a nice evening out, but not too grand so that it looks out of place with a jumper and ankle boots.

    If it's for a formal event a fur sporran with a metal cantle is great, but it looks a bit odd for daywear (even though lots of people do it).
    I'd generally avoide white, it gets dirty, can yellow over time, and is really a bit flash. There are so many lovely furs available which are more practical and
    a little less "LOOK AT ME".

    Amen to that Kyle. There are great sporran makers and Artificer is without a doubt in a very small, exclusive group.
