Possibly the greatest compliment of my life
Yesterday our eldest and I were talking and he asked a question about my past and I had to rely "no son, that was before we became a family" (he's from my wife's previous marriage), and he replied "Well, you know Dad, you're so much my father and I love you so much, I keep forgetting I wasn't born your son".
All I could was give him a very big hug, as I had too big a lump in my throat.

Good story. You must be getting it right!

I have often said that being a Dad and being a sperm donor are two different things. It is not about the 60 seconds of lust, but rather the next 60 years of care.
Well done, Martin.

As the father of three adopted children, I can say with certainty that you have indeed been blessed, Martin! With a relationship like that, every day must be Father's Day for you.

To rephrase Chas, It take one evening to become an father, and a lifetime to be a dad. Congratulations. It's moments like this that make life worthwhile.

That is a scene between two winners. One gets choked up just reading it.
