Chas obtained a supply of synthetic dandelions from Cornwall, England. I believe they can also be bought from Steve Ashton's Freedom Kilts.

This time of year, I trust there will be a multitude of dandilions around. You can wait until you get to the festival grounds and still find some.

    What a great event!

So the Kingston Scottish Festival was a great time! The weather was a little colder than folks would have liked although there were a few sunny breaks.

There were lots of bands to enjoy. Here are some pipers strolling by the vendors.

There were some smartly attired judges and some very accomplished bands. The Grade 1 bands were all exceptional.

A gentleman with a very nice camera asked me if he could take my photo so I agreed as long as he emailed me the results. I had already retreated to the van to get a pullover and gloves due to the cold. Disregard my cell phone sticking out of my jacket pocket and ruining the line of my jacket. ;) lol

Excellent pics, nice to know that the dandelion enabled you to find each other.

It did indeed happen and Nathan has the pictures to prove it. It was a great event and made more special by meeting up with another Xmarker. Now who's going to Maxville?

I just looked back over the photos and even though I'm a relatively slim guy next to Nathan I look huge.

Nice pictures and it looked like a good day. Wouldn't it be something if we could get some consistent weather? We will be in the high twenties later in the week!
