There are a ton of 'em out there. You might even consider a tartan that is not blue but would go well with your blue jacket, something like "Auld Scotland" for example.
Landmark moment, here: I agree with MacMillan's wayward progeny. If you've got a nice blue jacket coming to you, the best tartan may not be a predominantly blue one. Look to the gentlemen on board who are consistently well-dressed (MacMillans son being one of them) and observe the impact of contrast vs. trying to match tartan and jacket. For one, your wonderful tartan will just bleed upward. And we all know that things should bleed downward--unless you're in zero gravity. All bets are off at that point.

Thanks for the suggestions. I need a tartan readily available in the UK. I've been looking at Marton Mills and Dalgleish websites.

The lady earlier suggested Blue Ramsay and I would also recommend this. This is readily available and I can attest to not being attacked in Inverness wearing it, maybe because it is a Border clan.
Mine is ancient, but the modern tartan is also beautiful

    Good luck with the selection.

Nova Scotia is nice, it would likely be bright enough to worn with lovat blue... Or as Steve suggested, the Xmarks tartan.

I seem to recall one of the tartan finders allowed you to search by main colour...

Look at Scotweb.com. Most tartans are readily available in the UK from them.
