Kilt Night in Austin

Scholz Gardens - May 26th - 5:00 to 7:30 PM - Austin's Silver Thistle Pipes and Drums will be performing.

Let's add to the kilt count that night.

Well now...I'll be in Austin that night for a conference. Not sure If I'll be able to pack the kilt, but I might just have to try to make that. Where is that exactly? I'm staying at a Downtown hotel, not far from the LBJ Library.

The address is: 1607 San Jacinto - probably not far from where you are staying - although I can't think of any hotels near the LBJ Library.

I'm at the Courtyard Downtown. Not far, but not close to the LBJ Library.

I'm hoping to visit it & the capitol while I'm in town. I'm heading out to Camp Mabry when I arrive on Saturday to visit the Texas Military Forces Museum.

Austin's Silver Thistle Pipe and Drums is presenting a ceilidh at Scholz Gartens tomorrow, May 26th 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. A great opportunity for a show of kilts by the Central Texans.

A "tip o' the bonnet" to cck for his Texas hospitality and willingness to show me the sights of "the wierd city" last evening -- the Silver Thistle P & D were outstanding, as well as the food and drink at Scholz Gardens -- German food, Texas Beer and Scottish music -- Heaven on Earth!

Alas, I didn't get any good photos, apart from the band, since I was not able to bring my kilt along this time.
