			Hose color choice

In November my wife and I are renewing our vows (10years) in a full Episcopal Church wedding ceremony. This is her ceremony so what she says goes. She said I could wear a kilt, so I'm doing it. We've narrowed down the kilts to either a Thompson Camel or Saffron. Either will be worn w/ an off-white shirt & tie(she doesn't want coat & tie...hey its her call).
Now my question. What color hose would be best w/ either of those kilt choices? I've been looking for a couple days and can't figure it out for the life of me.

(BTW...our original wedding was Klingon Wedding...my choice. So I'm guessing on our 20th it'll be my turn again!!!)

(I'd go with Bison hose for the Thompson Camel kilt.)

How much do you want to spend? You could go with diced from USAK or some where or I would would go with black, charcoal for the saffron and navy, claret or a deep red for the Thompson

I wear lovat green with my saffron and either traditional garter ties or a hose toppers. I bought my hose toppers from an XMarks member who ran Flamingo Kilts and they were and are first class but alas Flamingo Kilts is no more. Big Mikey, well known on this board, also makes hose toppers. You may wish to consult him.

I would probably go with claret , navy or charcoal with the Thompson Camel and perhaps black with the Saffron . Given that you are wearing an off-white shirt ( no jacket ) and wearing one of these tartans , I would go with a darker tie and darker hose just to add a little contrast .
You could sneak in a Klingon Warrior Badge for a kilt pin .

Personally out of those choices I'd go with the Saffron kilt with green hose and tie, Qapla' !

I'm contemplating a Saffron kilt next time (when the cow calves!) and I think lovat green goes particularly well, although black looks great and is what is worn in the army and in many pipe bands. I don't know the Thompson tartan.

Another vote for Lovat green with the saffron kilt - subdued but with a medium colour depth. Perhaps "she who must be obeyed" has a view? Regards, Sav.

Seeing you will not be wearing a jacket, I would recommend matching your hose to your shirt colour.
