I had a look at the site photos, sorry to say I've never seen such a bunch of badly worn kilts in the Hall of Fame.

Whether it's the quality of the kilt or the way they are worn I cannot tell.
Some of those guys need advice from hamish!

Well, I emailed sport-kilt and asked what the weight of the Leatherneck tartan fabric is and if it would be posible to purchace yardage from them. I will let people know if and when they respond.

Graham, I happend to get a SportsKilt beofre I discovered Rocky. The kilts are just that. About 4 yards 'roughly' pleated and tacked at the top with a waistband. No knife edge sewn pleats or anything else. Kinda basic.

For what they are, Sportkilts are nothing special, see my McNaughton SK in my pic gallery. Not real flattering, doesn't taper too well and OH MY GOD, IT MAKES MY HIPS LOOK BIG....

However they are real comfortable to wear, elastic band, so no belt needed. Usually my evening wear when I get home. Strip off my Utilikilt and into the Sportkilt

Mt experience with Sportkilt is very similar to Richard. The fabric is very flimsy. I would really rether get my sons a more well made kilt, but, still wash and wear. Is that being too picky? I just don't think anyone who knows anything about what a kilt should look like would wear one (a Sportkilt) out in public!

Sorry I haven't posted for a while guys... We've been SWAMPED with orders and been at Festivals.

I WISH I could get the leatherneck tartan in PV. I have had a LOT of inquiries for it. Alas, our PV suppliers do not make it in PV. If you can get me the material, I can sew it up for you (for a fee), but I can't get it in PV.

    sorry
