Marton Mills makes fine cloth and their customer service was very good when I dealt with them directly. I made a tank with their 16oz Murray of Atholl Ancient tartan and it was a delight to work with.

Confirm me for 3 yards, please!
    Gotcha for 3!

FWIW: Only those confirmed in bright green are in the current yardage totals. Unconfirmed (black) yardage requests aren't counted until they are reconfirmed with the new Mill/Pricing info.

(specifically re-confirmed in green, unconfirmed/vague in black, specifically cancelling in red) is this correct to this point?

I am in for 3 yards DW, I need to contact Mr. Newsome but I am thinking of a 4-5 yd box for my first hand made kilt.
    Thanks Lance Dahl

Thanks for your work on this! I'm definitely still in, but I think, in light of the current tossed spanner, I believe I'd prefer option 2 (the "modern" palette).

    Besides, "darker" just seems somehow...right....

Okay, I'm working on selling random stuff before I move and could make it fit in the budget. Is July still the projected order end date?

Unfortunately, the ship has sailed on Dalgliesh. We are definitely going with Marton Mills in the original colours.
In light of this information can you please confirm that you are still in?

Sorry, just had a chance to read through all the ordering specifics.

Yes, please CONFIRM me for 4 yards, double-width at $47 / yard. The fact that it would be in the original color palette is simply a bonus! Thanks again for Captaining this ship (or leading this cult, perhaps) and thanks to Rocky for being willing to handle the doling out of the fabric (and kilts)!

Now, I keep throwing my money at the screen, but I have not yet received my tartan....is this thing broken?

    Gotcha!

BTW: If folks (cultists ) want to get their payment squared away sooner rather than later to avoid the rush, they can call USAKilts (Rocky) at (610) 948-4110
and pay for their fabric (total with postage) or their kilt/package (deposit) at any time and Rocky will not run the charge until the order has closed (7 July).

As an FYI, here's how it will work:

    1. Customer will call in and tell the USA Kilts employee (person who answers the phone) that they are part of the R'lyeh Tartan order.
    2. We will take the customers' name / address / phone / email and write up the order for what the customer needs (length of cloth, 5 yard kilt or 8 yard kilt)
    3. We take the billing info for the customer
    4. We'll give the approximate total (ACTUAL total will be based on the exchange rate GBP : USD, but SHOULD be roughly $47 - $49 / yard so long as the exchange rate stays below 1 GBP : $1.60)
    5. On July 8th (the 7th is a Sunday, so we won't be here), we'll drop you an email / give you a call to let you know the actual total we're going to charge to your card.
    6. We'll put the firm order in for the length of cloth needed with the mill.

Timeframe for the cloth will likely be 12 weeks, once the order is confirmed. I'm going to send a swatch of the prior run of cloth across to the mill to have them knock up a CAD drawing with yarn samples, matching the colors as closely as possible (and dyeing to match where there is no stock color equivalent). For CLOTH orders, the full amount will be charged on July 8th. For KILT orders, if you'd like to split the payment into 2 parts, you can pay 1/2 down and 1/2 when the kilt is ready to ship.

That first step might be problematic for some, so just in case:

R'lyeh pronunciation: How to pronounce R'lyeh

    :cthulhusmiley: :cthulhusmiley: :cthulhusmiley:
"It's all the same to me, war or peace,
I'm killed in the war or hung during peace."
