Kilted Weight lifter

I thought some of the rabble might find this interesting. A friend of mine shared this picture with me from the CrossFit Games, Central East Regional in Columbus Ohio. My friend is a Navy Seal and body builder and was participating in the games.

Pictured is Todd Szalkowski; he is competing in Event 5 at the games. I visited the CrossFit web site (they also have a faceBook page) and discovered that there is a small group (I believe three of them) who compete kilted.


I don't know much else about this but, I'll get more information when my friend John, gets back from the games.

Deadlift in a kilt! Gotta be careful not to catch the apron, though. I often wondered if I would get kicked out of my gym for working out kilted. Something I'll need to try...

Great shot. I have my doubts about dead lifting with a kilt however. Still looks like he pulled it off.
