Around 3 men asked, one could tell that they would love to try a kilt. But as usual the price for the trad stuff as I was wearing today put them off I feel

Martyn, there's a kilt record few will be able to beat - I mean the number of countries you've worn the kilt.
My problem is that I have to travel such a long way to get out of the country.
May I ask what the exhibit was about?

Good for you Ambassador Martyn.
I'm not a widely-travelled sort of chap, especially now that I am retired, but I have worn kilts in France, Belgium, all over the USA, England, Scotland Wales - Oh, and the Isle of Wight!!
Take care,
Ham.
(PS: Next year I'll be able to add Canada to my list).

Hamish has the Isle of Wight seperated from England now?
I love the place, we often took the ferry across for weekend holidays as a young'n.

Graham,
Maybe that was why we used to send our convicts there. It was so difficult for them to escape.

Not to be outdone, let me give my list.
I have walked the streets kilted and turned a few heads in the following countries:
GB,
France,
Holland,
Germany,
Switzerland,
Italy,
Austria,
Hungary,
Czecho-land,
Malta,
Turkey,
Tunisia,
Morocco (these last two being the only countries where I have provoked lots of comments and sometimes great hilarity, elsewhere it has always been polite indifference),
and even USA.
So, if I am now labelled "new" kilter on this forum, may I claim the title of senior ambassador?
Martin,
in Grenoble, France.
