It was a pleasure meeting Elizabeth and. . . oh I'm rotten with names... Mike? Sorry that we didn't take the time to look up the rest of you -- did get greeted by Sharkman on our way in the gate Saturday a.m.! I will plead my case, having returned from a business trip on Friday which meant up at 5 a.m. CST to catch a flight, which was then delayed resulting in noon PST arrival. Quashed my hopes for a quick trip home to change clothes and nap before we had prearranged dinner and concert plans Friday night -- one of our favorite artists, Dave Alvin, so cancelling plans was just not in the cards!

Just meant that Saturday I was walking into walls. . . a bit better Sunday but still somewhat brain-dead. We did enjoy the nice low-key weekend, Vista is the smallest Games we attend and it's a pleasure, for example, to sit in the shade of the music tent and still be able to see the athletics field.

Thanks again for the photos, I'll get around to posting my few snaps later on today.

thanks everyone. I took almost 400 pictures on Saturday. I had pictures of most of the athletes. These were the ones I thought turned out best. There were others which I thought also were pretty good but I didn't want to over load the page. It is amazing how many pictures you have to take to get a few good ones. Often it was the athlete's fault as one would walk in front of the camera as I shot, (especially the one with the tape) one little boy wrecked a bunch because he'd point out something just as I shot and several of the events were impossible to shot as I am outside the field and the sun is in a rotten place compared to the athletes and at some distance for me. One of these games I'll have to see what I'd have to do to shot on the field. My son cameron wants to have a go at the games but he just barely turned 15 and you have to be 18. I've probably mentioned it before but he's the national champion in power lifting for 13-15 at 165 pounds. He has squatted 309 pounds and dead lifted 365 pounds so watch out when he gets to 18 guys.

Camerons numbers or pretty darned good for a 15 year old and not that much below my numbers, at twice his body weight!

GREAT shots... Adam Brezina, Heather MacDonald, Shannon Popp, Rusty Price...bunch of my mates out there. However there are also mess of "new girls" including one blonde Amazon that looks like she's about 6 feet tall. I think I'm going to go look up the results on NASGA.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle.
