Both versions look fantastic. I can't decide which I like more.....
The idea of a vest made out of leopard fur (I keep seeing Sonny and Cher in my mind.....)
is interesting too.

Well, you have done it again, my friend. Your knowledge of historical precedent - coupled with your unbridled artistic vision and innate talent for creating/recreating these old sporrans - places you at the very top of your field. Magnificent work from the Master Artificer.

I saw these on Facebook and wondered how you obtained the fur. Wonderful story and two wonderful sporrans.

Truly unique, and given the fur, likely to stay that way. Truly amazing pieces of art

As did I. Well done, Scott! Not quite my style, but nonetheless, these sporrans are absolutely amazing and I am quite sure they will be worn proudly by the commissioner!
Well done, old boy...well done...

A bit late Scott, but I see you are stepping up to another level again. Great design work and manufacture. Brilliant repurposing of obviously a cherished garment. Cheers.

[QUOTE=artificer;1177809]A number of months back I was contacted by a potential commissioner after I'd made several comments about how amazing
Henry Battenburg's sporran was and how the opportunity to make something similar would be doubly amazing.
I have saved the two pictures to my collection of pictures of Sporrans that have been made by Artists as yourself. Beautiful and thanks for sharing. Respect for the original material was a welcomed
attribute.

Artificer,
I do my own leatherwork and have done my first sporran, a plain day sporran with laced construction. I would like to tackle a dress sporran, and I happen to have a nice red fox pelt with mask, primarily used for fly-tying material. My question is, where can I obtain cantles?

Thanks,
Bruce
