I've had this a fortnight now and I'm very pleased.

it's a beautiful kilt. What a wonderful setting.
Nice tartan with the large white line and blue. If someone checks the tartan out the designer will explain the reasons for the various colours in the cornish tartans. Each colour represents an aspect of Cornwall. Blue black white and gold, as it seems to me. There is a definite symblismsomewhere. Black is for the Cornish Cough. The "national" bird.I will not say any more to spoil the true romance. Looks good with tone of day jacket waistcoat, tie and matching hose tops. I wear green jacket most of time with green kilt . tweed jackets are really warm .Possibly warmer than some sweaters. Actually saw another kiltie out on the streets of weymouth last night. First one I have seen out on the streets for months. As is said in the west country "proper job my handsome " Roddy
I understood the black and white are the flag/cross of St Piran. It is even more obvious on the pleats. Here is the front:

You have a right to be pleased. It's a beautiful kilt. I really like the jacket, too. Your entire outfit looks great.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
Very nice, indeed!! Definitely worth the wait. It is rare that I see someone else wearing the same tartan as I wear. So I am extra excited to see your picture. I like the blue jacket with it too.
Just for clarification, the RED is for the Cough... The unique aspects of the bird are its red beak and legs. The black (and white) are related to the flag of St. Piran.

I didn't get it in black, just to be a bit different and so I can wear it in less formal settings. (I wore it without tie and with kilt to church on Sunday.) Incidentally, I didn't choose Cornish Hunting because I have Cornish ancestors and was born in Devon (both true). I riffled through the samples and picked it out because it looked nice. And it does!
Any reason to pick it is fine by me!! It is just nice to see it because to me it IS a beautiful tartan too. I really like that pairing with the jacket. I am going to have to save my pennies for a lovat blue jacket now.
I apologise i stand corrected .When i get time I will do my homework and report back. I have seen it all somewhere else on the internet. probably googled Cornish kilts. Roddy
