I guess someone should have told the Blancmanges from the planet Skyron in the galaxy of Andromeda, before they ordered all those kilts from Angus Podgorney...

Aye; well done to him. I don't really follow (any) sport but it seems he has worked exceptionally hard and strove to achieve this (with the nation behind him) for some years. I'm very pleased for him.

No no no. You don't understand. He's ALWAYS British when he wins... He's only Scottish when he looses. That's how it works over here.

Obligatory picture of Bobby Moore.
I'm just kidding by the way. Excellent performance Mr Murray. Thanks for bringing it home. 1st time in 77 years. Nice one!!

Interestingly, Murray at his victory speech described himself as British. Whatever, it takes a talented person to win the world's premiere tennis title, so well done him.

That is not 100% true. After all Jamie Murray won the Wimbledon mixed doubles title in 2007.
Well done to him, he deserves it.
I just wonder if they will name something in his honour. I would suggest the home of the Scottish Rugby Union

My Lady and I enjoyed listening to his Olympic success while driving up and down England last year.

Something like, hmmm, "The Andy Murray Stadium in The Andy Murray Precinct on The Andy Murray Field at Murrayfield"? No?

Lady saw me down the sailing club. Was in my kilt last night. Thought I was celebrating Murrys win.
Afraid not, but well done Andy.
Lady said I looked smart and every man should wear his Kilt. She should be so lucky.
Had been to classic tractor show. Always wearing the kilt these days.Do not know how folks can wear trousers in this heat.
Useless info. Was rep of ferguson tractor club.
Harry Ferguson; son of Irish Farmer. First man to build and fly his own aircraft in Ireland.
Got Henry Ford to build his tractor . built his tractor in Uk after the war. Sold the company to Massey Harris from Canada in sixties. Big red Massey Fergusons still working the field all over the World.
As it was a show, was wearing Gordon Highlanders Pipers Sporran with twin black horse hair tassles, my Deer stalker to keep my head cool, and had my Roebuck Horn Thumb Stick.
Was a good do. Two sawbenches ,Showmans Engines Classic cars, A.C. Cobra. 39 Buick. Thirties London Taxies, Wild West Gunfight,Circa 1880 , Classic British motor Cycles now built all over the world ,and a chapter of Hells Angles from sixty miles up the road with their Harleys.
Common comment was Do Not see many kilts round here. You come from Scotland ?
Response. My family left Scotland Five hundred Years ago.Been down here Four hundred years.
The P A comentator claimed his clan ,the Gunns, went to Canada. Roddy
