A Kia will get you from point A to point B, just like a Bentley or Rolls-Royce.

The difference between a hand built, premium car and a disposable compact are obvious.

Kia's here in the UK are quite good but sadly here, our Chevy's suck...

Good analogy, but I think Acrylic is even worse (the £20 ones advertised on eBay )

    e-rail Warning:

I get the impression that quality in the automotive industry is relative to the perceived importance of the market in question. I dunno...just an observation. Nothing more, nothing less.

    :Back On Topic:
I agree with TheCompaqGuy. My first kilt was acryllic (should have done more research). Never again! I have a P/V and hope to get a good wool one in my family tartan.

    Fixed that for you

And you're right Jay. Cheap non-wool kilts are what they are but they have their place.

They are great for the new Kiltie who doesn't necessarily want to commit to a Kilt costing hundreds of quids straight off the bat.

They are great for athletes and other sporty types who don't want to rag their heirlooms tossing the caber or traipsing through the briar.

And not everyone can afford a Roller, despite it's attractive and enviable A to B style and luxury.

I so much agree with you, English Bloke.

Let me add to that: If there had only been Rolls Royce’s and Bentleys the owners had probably got very few roads on which to drive them. Now they have benefitted from the existence of mass market affordable cars.

So can kilt wearers of expensive hand sewn kilts - and whose business suits as a minimum are labeled Armani, of course - benefit from mass market acrylic Pakistani kilts making the appearance of men in kilts not that rare or odd, as it should have been without them.

But from outside I do appreciate the obvious quality of Volkswagen Bentleys and BMW RRs.
