Been inactive for a bit, now I'm back
So, even though I was last on just before my birthday (21 by the way :beer in May, I have not been super active. Since I've started college though, lots of things have been happening!
I started college at Georgia Southern University (GO EAGLES!) and am majoring in Physics (I think I'll specialize in astrophysics or something). I kind of like how everyone I tell that to winces for me, but it's something I've loved since high school so I figured it was the most exciting thing for me to major in.
I was playing rugby for a few months, but then my grades began to drop from me not taking school seriously, so I had to stop playing and hit the books big time. I'm hoping I can get back in soon though. I still hit the socials every now and then, so I still have an awesome time with the team.
Making kilts is something I still love to do, but only when I have the money for fabric (or unless my parents buy it for me ). I did make a couple throughout my freshman year while I was learning how to use a sewing machine so that I can make more contemporary kilts. Though they both didn't turn out too well. My goal is to lose some weight and make myself a new hand sewn one as a reward.
My little sister Mary was finally able to go to Marine Corps boot camp and become a US Marine. And soon after her boyfriend proposed and they are getting married! Since I'm not a bridesmaid (thankfully, because I hate wearing dresses) I've told her I plan on renting an all black kilt outfit with a tie that will match the bridesmaids' dress color. She's super excited!
I got to meet one of my heroes! Dr. Michio Kaku, a theoretical physicist. I was so excited I was shaking. I told him about a paper on invisibility cloaks that I wrote and referenced him in, and he was very interested in it. I know, pics or it didn't happen

And one of the latest things that has happened in my life was my sister (we are triplets and I'm the fraternal one of the group) released the information that she was gay to my family and all her friends (I always knew it though ). I'm so super proud of her, along with my whole family. When she came out it got me thinking, and I decided that I should come out too, though not as gay but as bisexual. I have never felt more comfortable in the fact that I can love all, not just one certain gender class. Some might say it's a phase, but I don't think so.
So that's what has been going on with me in a nutshell! I hope to get some more kilt action going on for some future posts !

You've had rather a lot going on during your hiatus, haven't you? Welcome back!

Welcome back. Sometimes Life takes precedence over Internet forums.
Dr Seuss had some wise words on the subject:
“If things start happening, don’t worry, don’t stew, just go right along and you’ll start happening too.”

Lots of announcements, all grand. Theoretical physics is "were it's at" (that and neuroscience) these days. Make studying your job (40+ hours/week) and you too can be a Michio Kaku (or Sean Carrol or....) one day. "Life is what happens when you're making other plans." Welcome back!

Welcome back. Dr. Kaku is awesome. I'm writing a short lecture on relativity for schools. I'm no expert, the goal is critical thinking using Einstein's thought experiments as a subject.

Welcome back and happy birthday (belated). You have a lot going on in your life but, stay focused on your education and hang out here now and again, when you need an escape.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. "The Last Highlander" Sara Fraser
