Royal Caledonian Ball Tatler photo's

I had planned on attending this year, at least until my daughter informed us of her university choice and the cost of tuition........ I'd say maybe next year but that I fear may be way too optimistic! We shall see.

Well, kind of, but not quite. My chief, Sir William Alan Macpherson of Cluny and Blairgowrie has attended, as well as other Macphersons, and we're not exactly "toffs."

Well... toffs or not... they look to be having plenty of fun.
As a rule I hate going south but I may have to make an exception next year particularly as Mrs Lime has been on about going for a couple of years now.

No doubt it is great fun , but quite an expensive bash . I personally couldnt justify that sort of outlay for one nights fun , dont feel I personally would fit in , sigh!!

The gentleman in photo #4 wearing Black Watch is identified as Captain Jonathan Kerr; doesn't strike me as a toff.
