    Scottish Music by Shostakovich

    Hi Guys,

    looking for some nice scottish music at Youtube I found this.
    A singer myself I didn't know there were scottish and english poems composed by Shostakovich (op. 62). As a Macpherson I found this of course interesting!
    I would be curious how it would sound if really sung and not just shouted...but let's be grateful

    P.S. Found out they were originally composed for Bass and there are several recordings, mainly with russian singers who sing Burns' poem in russian...

    Thanks Fluter...better...but I think there still could be a bit more legato though there are much words to speak :-)

    He's not my favorite composer but it is nice to know it's there.
