    "Reproduction" is D.C. Dalgiesh's name for an alternate color palette (similar to weathered). According to the D.C. Dalgliesh web site:

    The colourings of these Tartans offer a soft muted effect reminiscent of the days when vegetable sources such as lichen, moss and alder bark provided the dyer with his raw materials.

    Ahhhh, so they mean they are trying to reproduce a look from time gone by without using actual twigs and berries...And they are doing a darn fine job of it too. Thanks for the info!

    That's the theory. This (and weathered... and ancient... and other color palettes, etc.) has been discussed at length in various threads on here.
