Another chance to get House of Cheviot Shetland and Orkney hose

Bumping this thread in the hope that anyone else who might be interested will have the chance to see it.

Including pairs I'll buy for myself we are over the minimum on all four colors of the Shetland. Anyone interested in the Orkney?

Michael: That's great news! I have all the Orkney colors in different styles, so I prefer the Shetland. Let us know how you would like us to proceed.

Unfortunately you are the only request for a size medium. The House of Cheviot requires a minimum order of three pair in a size/color combination.

Actually, don't abandon hope just yet. I have a contact at HoC who told me that there was some stock left in medium. It wasn't of interest to me because it is not my size, but existing stock won't be subject to the minimum. I'll inquire and report back on what is available ASAP.

I've been in touch with Matt about the mechanics of placing the order. He told me early on that the price was contingent upon his being able to treat this as a trade order and just ship the lot on to me. I am planning to purchase two pair of each color for myself, which will hold me for a LONG time, so I think the easiest thing to do is for me just to purchase the lot from Matt and sort things out when they arrive. I'm confident that the rabble are a trustworthy bunch and if anything did fall through it shouldn't be too hard to resell them in the X Market.

Matt tells me that an order like this typically takes about four weeks but can vary depending on factory schedules. August is the peak of the holiday season so it won't surprise me if it takes a bit longer.

Once the socks arrive I'll post a picture of the stack, which should be pretty impressive, and then send them out upon receipt of funds (Paypal, checks, whatever). I think Priority Mail has a flat $10 rate available which includes tracking. I would prefer to use that just to be sure the socks get to their destinations.

At this point we're just waiting to hear about the availability of mediums. As soon as that is resolved we are ready to go.
