Thank you all for the warm welcome. I see the forum is made up of folks from all over. Nice to see some other Nova Scotians here, and to Scout, yes I hope there will be a ferry service connecting us soon too.

Hello TowGuy, and welcome to X Marks from Delaware, USA. This truly is a wonderful site so we are glad you have joined. You are fortunate to have a band of kilt wearing Brothers to commiserate with but... now you the X Marks rabble (kilted sisters & brothers) for even more support. I look forward to your participation.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. We have generated a lot of interest from Brothers looking to wear kilts and every year we have more wearing them. You would think being in Nova Scotia (New Scotland) that kilts would be more prominent, but we are working on that. I have just completed an X-Kilt but the material is rather heavy so I am making another, thanks to Alan H for the manual.
Greetings Brother. Kilts are often worn in lodge in my jurisdiction. I am in my third term as WM. If I could, I would wear a kilt of the tartan in my avatar while presiding over the lodge.

Hello from Chicago! I have a friend near Moncton, NB. I happen to know he wears his kilt regularly (fellow piper), so you aren't alone up there. Wear it with pride.
