Grizzled Ian @Fredericksburg, VA
Grizzled Ian stopped off at my stopping grounds on his east coast tour of the USA. It was a real treat to make his acquaintance and raise a pint (okay, two) with Ian from Australia. Is this a neat forum or what!
Enjoy the rest of your time here in the USA, Ian!

Ern,
Thank you for dinner last night, it is a pleasure to have met you. We enjoyed a good two-handed crack, and plenty of laughs.
And today, on to DC, and then USA Kilts and meet Rocky.
This is getting to be quite an odyssey, but would I change a minute of it?

Mael, I'm glad you were able to show Ian some Virginia hospitality.
Ian, If you have time you should stop by Longwood Gardens. It's 20-30 mile southwest of Rocky's.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your tour.

Ian, are you flying out of the east coast or stopping on the west coast before returning down-unda?

Mael and Ian: You are role models for us all! Love that environment. Cheers!

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

'Morning Barb,
Aye, and that T-shirt goes with me to Hamilton Island on Wednesday for Race Week next week. Grizz and I will be "crewing" for her best mate, taking on the big super-maxi yachts, and Sydney to Hobart race winners of years gone by. And I am getting closer to photographic literacy - see my avatar now.
Hawk,
Sorry, I've just spotted your post here. No, I flew out directly from NYC, with a 2 1/2 hour stopover in LA on your Friday morning. I'm leaving the West Coast to visit another time. And Montreal. And Texas, and Vermont, and Boston. See, plenty of reasons to come back - perhaps Kilt Kamp next year, though if Grizz can come with me - Steve! Two more pick-ups at the airport please!! ... Isn't it nice to have dreams.
Back to work, Ian, the cleaner is due in 5 minutes.
