Piperchick: First, thank you for the compliment. All the credit goes to the Dalgliesh weavers, providers of "hard tartan", and to Matt Newsome, owner of New House Highland (NHH), who turns the cloth into heirloom kilts.

As you can see, hard tartan is just one option you may select when ordering a kilt from NHH. And, I believe you can order pretty much any tartan in the "hard tartan" finish, if you so desire.

Good luck on finding the tartan that is just right for you. I, of course, heartily recommend the Douglas, but since we are a family of Clan Douglas, I am a bit biased.
