I'm sorry that I did not have my camera for the kick off of the Quest of The Quaich II.

We held a Kilt Night at Kilt Kamp on Wed. the 31st of July.

In attendance were all the kiltmakers.

I gave a short explanation of the Quaich. Why it exists and what its mission is. "Travelling to share our love of the kilt with the world".

I was, of course, wearing my X Marks Tartan kilt.

The Quaich's log book were passed around for signatures.

And then a wee dram was shared among all.

Of course as the Quaich reached our honored guest Grizziled Ian he was required to finish it.

And a photo showing all the attendees at Kilt Kamp was included in the logbook as it's first souvenir.

Oh, the X-Marks badge upside down. For a second there, I thought you just tipped the contents over the carpet. Phew!
Seriously, thank you for bringing the Quaich Steve, that we had the privilege of starting this circumnavigation. I am looking forward to Fr Bill's reporting of its activities over the next few weeks.

    Steve,
The first three photos are not showing up. I'm getting a Photobucket icon that says the image was moved or deleted. Is it just me or are others also getting this icon?

No, (he said, shamefacedly); it's waiting for one more week for a special event of a type it's never been able to participate in, and which I think you'll all like.

Thanks for asking; I've just been up to my ears. One more event, then in another week or so, it'll be on its way to the next stop!

Yes, somebody here on XMarks had sent me a PM asking to be next in line... and I've inadvertently deleted that E, so of the individual in "quest"ion would like to send me another with contact details, I'd gladly make plans to haste it on its way when the time arrives.

And, I've added a bit of dark red velour and some lapel pins to represent where I am right now: my city, province, and nation. It'll be in the box with the Quaich - anybody else have pins? There's lots of space for yours!

I still haven't heard back from the fellow who wanted to host it next, so if I don't hear back in the next week, I'll contact some XMarkers whom I know are nearby, yet enroute.
