It would be a bonus if the pub would offer us, the kilted men, a discount on food and drinks.

Ahhhh...the life of a pretty young lass...
My 20 year old daughter gets the same treatment in bars. Rarely has she ever had to pay for a drink.

A question about the Vancouver kilt night photos that were just posted:
What tartan was the gigantic bald fellow wearing? It's so striking!
I needs it.

The blue one? That's Andrew in his Fraser Ancient Hunting I believe.

Thanks, Khensu.
As an odd coincidence, if your hair were shorter in the back, you'd look enough like my brother to fool even me.
Not that you'd gain anything by impersonating him, but...

hehe. It is shorter. I cut off the pony tail last spring for my mother's 65th.

I haven't the kilt in person yet, and that's '8' yard kilt from Bear Kilts.

Okay, I've stopped laughing enough to answer. ("gigantic bald fellow" - hilarious!)
It is the Fraser Ancient Hunting as Khensu said. It is one of the nicest tartans I've seen. Andrew's is a 12 yard kilt. That sucker is heavy!
I had to make a sample kilt for a rugby team recently, so I made one in my size in the Fraser Ancient Hunting, just so I'd have one myself.
(I live a block away from the Fraser River, so I feel entitled.)

Fraser & other provincial tartans...
(I live a block away from the Fraser River, so I feel entitled.)
Don't forget the Fraser River Gold Rush, that help settle B.C.!
Bear, will you be getting any more of the provincial tartans, like the Northwest Territories or the Yukon? The NWT is a cool (no pun intended!) tartan:
