Well, I for one would be pleased to have a kilted sidesman... or liturgist!
Rev'd Father Bill White: Mostly retired Parish Priest & former Elementary Headmaster. Lover of God, dogs, most people, joy, tradition, humour & clarity. Legion Padre, theologian, teacher, philosopher, linguist, encourager of hearts & souls & a firm believer in dignity, decency, & duty. A proud Canadian Sinclair with solid Welsh and other heritage.

Like the understated but matching plaid.

I was being liturgical last Sunday in that I was doing to intercessions (prayers for people's needs). I thought it more tactful to wear light khaki slacks as I was upfront. Someone said "why aren't you wearing your kilt?" so I obliged today.

I've been at Walsingham for a weekend pilgrimage to the shrine and wore my kilt the whole time. The bishop shook my hand and said "Peace be with you" and looked down at my kilt and added "That's lovely".

I was asked to serve carrying a candle in one of the processions. I wore my kilt underneath the cassock, which was only possible leaving off my sporran.
