Another post about uploading photos. . . "from PC" option not visible

Photobucket is my first choice but it's acting up today, not uploading/just hanging. So I thought I would finally learn how to upload directly from my PC. BTW I'm running WinXP Pro SP3, Firefox browser that automatically updates [currently 21.0], and Cox [allegedly] high-speed cable although I would quit Cox in a heartbeat if I had a better choice.

Anyway. . . looked at Steve's tutorial post. But when I try to follow those instructions, clicking on the "insert image" icon does not offer me a "from PC" option. Here's all that I get:

So my only option is to copy a link from Photobucket or other hosting service. Any clue why I am not seeing the "from PC" tab?

That's interesting. I uploaded photographs recently using OS X and Chrome but today I see the same URL only option. Could it be a flipped bit somewhere on the website?

Sounds like an issue with your user profile. This is the first time you have tried to upload a picture directly?

I typically just copy in the URL link from PBucket. I do recall clicking on the "insert image" link after the announcement of forum update that allowed direct upload. . . but that pop-up has always appeared as shown in today's screen grab. I figured there was some other route to take to post directly from PC, but today is the first time I looked through tutorial only to discover that my pop-up is missing that option.

I just looked through my user profile but didn't see anything that dealt with image upload preferences. . . or are you talking about some hidden attribute?

I don't think it's a profile configuration issue. The second tab for a file upload has simply disappeared.

What operating system and browser are you using?

    Sorry Forgot that.
On here its Windows 8 Pro 64-bit (Yes, some people use it and I really like it.)
Browser Firefox 22.0 and 23.0 worked too.

I think it broke just because sydnie7 tried to use it. The gods of cyberspace are fickle.

Good luck. If KCW can't fix it, we're all in trouble.

I just tried it (Windows 7 64-bit using Chrome) and both tabs (From Computer and From URL) are shown. But, that's as far as I went down that path
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
