Just BTW, Warpiper is down for Orkney large in tartan green. I think his computer must be down because I spoke to him but he hasn't logged on for several weeks. Anyone else?

Michael,
There was a news story on the radio, today, about a midget spiritualist who escaped from the state prison. The police put out an all-points bulletin for a small medium at large.
I can try to track him down for us, if you like.
From your comments I gather you are set up to do PayPal transactions? Is that correct? That would be most convenient for me, and perhaps others.

I'm confident that the rabble are a trustworthy bunch and if anything did fall through it shouldn't be too hard to resell them in the X Market.
Matt tells me that an order like this typically takes about four weeks but can vary depending on factory schedules. August is the peak of the holiday season so it won't surprise me if it takes a bit longer.
Once the socks arrive I'll post a picture of the stack, which should be pretty impressive, and then send them out upon receipt of funds (Paypal, checks, whatever). I think Priority Mail has a flat $10 rate available which includes tracking. I would prefer to use that just to be sure the socks get to their destinations.

just a point on the shipping- unless whatever is being mailed is VERY heavy, flat rate is almost universally a bad deal. These hose are big and bulky, but not heavy, and could be stuffed in a 2 day Priority (the USPS has just changed their shipping, "Overnight" is now "Priority Express", and "Priority" is now "2 Day Priority") envelope or a generic box for around $6, where the Medium Flat Rate box runs $12.35.
Thanks for putting this order together, Michael. I know how these can grow into headaches and time-sinks.

Yes, I have a Paypal account. I'll PM the id to those who are interested. I was also thinking that it might be a good idea if the group would PM their shipping addresses to me. That way I can swipe them into a Word doc and print shipping labels with minimal chances for errors.

Re shipping: thanks for the info Scott. If the shirt box is the same price as the envelope I'd prefer that just for the sake of protecting the contents. Next thing on my list will be to check the rates on the Post Office web site.

Michael: PM sent. Feel free to charge me a nuisance fee. You are doing us all a favor. Thanks.

Still waiting to hear back from HoC about the size mediums.
I just found out from Matt that they were closed for two weeks for summer holidays. They're back this week but likely need a few days to catch up on backlogged emails.

Thank you!

HoC has told me that the old stock is boxed up and it will take a bit of effort to dig it out. They're working on it...

Michael: Thanks for the update. I wonder why the hose are "boxed up". (?!)
Maybe HofC is waiting for them to come back into style. I still have my old Zoot suits and polyester jackets "boxed up" waiting for the disco craze to return. In the mean time I'm "staying alive, staying alive".
