My new jacket and accessories for The Bridge of Allan Games

    Hello all,

First pictures posted here. I am aware of the comments that are bound to ensue so I will put them to rest now
Jacket slightly to long but for £90 for genuine harris tweed I didn't do too badly!
    Sporran a bit high
Some would not care for pocket watch for daywear
Some would also not choose ghillies for daywear

But that said, I had a fantastic day wearing it with a lovely moment when a Canadian family wanted their picture with me, presenting me with a Canadian lapel pin afterwards.

A must say out for us all. A great opportunity to show off the kilt.

Gazbot I think you have done very well, sporran is at a good height, most people wear it too low. Pocket watch is spot on for day wear. We'll forgive the ghillie brogues, whatever floats your boat. All in all I would say that you were very nicely turned out for the occasion. Well done.

I also think your sporran is at the correct height and whenever I wear a wiastcoat, I wear a pocket watch. I think you are very well turned out.

Looks good. Vests and pocket watches are made for each other. Sporran looks fine to me, and a quick trip to a tailor will result in a perfect fit.

Congratulations on a good deal made.

    Looking good.
That's a really good plaudit that a Canadian family chose you to be photographed with. From memory of previous Bridge of Allan games there are a lot of people attend in smart highland dress so anybody wanting to include a kilted person in their photograph would have plenty to choose from.
