Here was I thinking Arizona was all about drought and dry desert and now we have a pic with rain and lush green trees just like Scotland.

Vegetation doesn't mess around here in the desert. Spit twice in the same spot an something green will pop up.
In Florida the rain is warm. Here it's cold as the wind evaporates it off your skin. Bet your guests noticed this little difference too.
