Kilts in Hawaii
I live in Hawaii and dance in a Scottish Country Dance Group, and my wife and I are new members of the Caledonian Society. I look forward to meeting other "Scotsminded" people on Oahu and on this forum.

Hello Jamie, and welcome to X Marks from Delaware. There are many Scotts, descendants of Scotts, Scots-minded and not-so-scots-minded on this forum but, we are all kilt-minded. You've certainly come to the right place to find people of that ilk.
One way to meet "Scotsminded" people is to wear your kilt out and about on Oahu. "Scotsminded" people will come at you from all directions.
Glad you chose to join the kilted rabble.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. Thank you
Thank you one and all for the welcome. If any are on the Island of Oahu the first weekend in April, you are welcome to the Scottish Festival held in Honolulu on both Saturday and Sunday. There are games, dance, pipes and more.
