Hello to All, I am am a new member to the site and to the world of kilt wearing. I friend of mine recently let me borrow one of his kilts and I found myself asking "why haven't I ever worn one before?" I now find myself in the market for my first well made kilt. This brings my to my request. My family has been able to trace it's roots to Clan MacLeod. I really would love to get a well made MacLeod kilt to honor my family. I really like the look of the MacLeod of Lewis Dress Weathered tartan that is offered by USA Kilts but I have not been able to find any pics of a completed kilt in this tartan. I would really like to see an example of the finished product before shelling out several hundred dollars for one. Do any of the members here have any pictures or links to pictures they would be willing to share of a finished kilt in this tartan? Thank you for any help you are able to provide.
Enter the string "Macleod of Lewis kilt" in Google images. Not only will you see lots of pictures of the kilt, but you will get to see pictures of a couple of our more prominent XMTS members. By the way, welcome to the forum.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
Indeed, the kilt in question has a beautiful tone to it and can be found in google images. Welcome to the XMTS Community Lew....... Hawk

Have you emailed Rocky and asked him about it?

Greetings, and welcome from several miles north of you, currently in Warrenville. The above suggestions are probably your best bets. By the way, why don't you stop by and post a greeting in the new members forum? I'm sure there are many others who would like to welcome you to our little home.
