Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. The young lad looks to be the best turned out!

OK, these are the last of the shots I'll boor you with! Here's a couple of shots of my wife, Susan, and me. We both, recently got new kilts from Bonnie Heather Green. I wore mine once before but, this is the first time she has worn hers.
I took the picture of Susan when we first got there. The photo of the two of us was taken at the end of the day, just before we left so, I'm not adjusted well and my shoes are dusty. Oh well!
Here's how 8 yards of 16oz wool swishes when yielding a hammer. And... Yes, this 64yo managed to ring the bell a couple of times.

This weekend, October 5 & 6 is the 'Irish Celebration' at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. If it's anything like the 'Scottish Celebration', it should be a blast.
Susan and I will not be attending. We will be at the Chesapeake Celtic Festival in Snow Hill, Maryland, just south of Salisbury.
