Was out and about kilted today, nothing but compliments and envious looks from non kilted males. It's great to be alive.

Today, I wore my USAK casual kilt in Malcolm tartan to work. Had to check on contractors’ work in paving our roads and replacing concrete sidewalks. Earlier even seeded the bank by one of coves on the lake. Quite a sight I sure.

After work, I meet up with fellow XMarker Mark Ellis at our local brewery; The Blue & Gray which was kicking off their Oktoberfest. One of the lasses from the local pipe band found me in the beer tent. Later at the bar, a lady and her husband in town for a wedding inquired about my tartan.

    A good day!

No pics today. I wore the ancient campbell 5 yard from USA Kilts, a highland green jacket, blue wool tie, hand crafted, copper and brass buckle and kilt pin from Tyger Forge, blue hose. A most extraordinary day in Northern Virginia.

The past two days, I had the privilege of attending a state required radiation safety course for veterinary health care workers. Of course, on Friday I attended kilted. And as the instructor was wearing shorts, I did not seem that out of place. I did receive several compliments from the staff of the local Chamber of Commerce, who were allowing us to use their meeting room for our class. The only comment received from a classmate was from one gentleman of my age, who said a friend of his also wore kilts, and he couldn't understand why. I suggested that he give it a try, as he might then understand why we would choose to wear the kilt.

Sorry, no pics. My camera batteries were dead, and none of my classmates thought I was special enough to photograph.
