Thanks! Yes, I don't go much larger than this in regards to overall check size. I have seen some shirts with a slightly larger check size than what I am wearing, but I tend to think that's too large, at least for my tastes.

There are some additional (and some repeat) photos in this thread, Tattersall and striped ties.

In my humble opinion, your shirt is absolutly perfect when you were your jacket and your waistocoat, but the check are perhaps a little too large without jacket...

Well, then we shall agree to disagree. And they are two different shirts; the first is brown and navy and the second is red, yellow and olive.

    Cheers,

I'm telling you, man...Van Heusen. Decent quality shirts, many offerings.

    Tattersalls and windowpanes.

The Donald also has some" trumped up" (pardon the pun) shirtings to offer as well. In all seriousness, though, they are quite nice shirts.

So I thought, why not order some shirts from C. Tyrwhitt and see what we get. I ordered them the 16th and just got them today (the 25th). Very prompt. And everything was packaged quite nicely. I tried on on one shirt (slim fit) and it was nicely done indeed. But as I'm just home for a quick lunch, I'll have to try the others after work. Oh boy. Clothes to look forward to when I get home!

I have taken notice of the tattersall shirt whilest oot and aboot.

I have observed that it is becoming a more and more common shirt style here in the US. Not the most common, certainly, but some of our fashions seem to be swinging that direction as of late (probably because it's technically Autumn).

In fact, I literally just a moment ago saw a news anchor on Faux News wearing one; it looked quite smart.

Mine came yesterday and fit great. One has a fairly large check, not necessarily obvious on the web site. The other is similar to my first tattersall shirt, a Savile Row I got off ebay. On close examination, the sept is different. The care for these shirts, based on the tag included with each, means they will only be worn with the kilt. I also got a "free" tie.

By the way, these are Charles Tyrwhitt shirts I ordered right after this thread started. They took a while because I added pockets and needed the sleeves shortened.

Frank: Nice shirts. I particularly like the one on the right. How much did you have to pay that LL Bean model to show them off for you?

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
