I have been a Red Sox fan most of my life but that pic was enough to turn my stomach.

The photo must be that atrocious/offensive, that I cannot get it to load here in Australia.

Thanks for that Sailortats, its transmission across the waves makes it more horrific than the written descriptions, believe me. Cheers.

Seems that all the expletives have already been taken, so all I can say is 'ditto'!

They should be wearing RED SOCKS!

As a lifelong Sox fan, I have to say that in lieu of this blatant disregard for cultural dress....I will no longer be supporting them. Just like how I refuse to give ANY money to Washington D.C.'s pro football team for the use of a racial slur as their team name. Ignorance has a price, and it just cost them one fan (if not many more in the end run).

Well... I do think they look extremely ridiculous, but this was a rookie prank and should be considered just that.
Humiliation aside, I believe the manufacturer of such cheesy costumes should get the grunt of this outrage. Do you think the Italians would be outraged if these players were forced to wear French maids outfits or dress like a Pierrot?
It's a prank meant to humiliate the person... not offend a nation. I'm certain such pranks exist that are much more harmful/dangerous.
