Your mom and dad may have been contemporary with us. We attended from '65 - '69 and I was in graduate school and worked at the Computing Center until 1979, and then moved to Los Alamos.
Yeah, Grandpa is one of my personal heroes for more reasons than I can get into here. I was born in 63 but you were definitely there when my Uncle was there - lol, he's the reason people call me Hippie Lee today - I remember being 4~6 years old visiting Grandma and Grandpa and he'd come home to visit while we were all there and he had this giant beard and long hair all over and I just thought that was the coolest thing. As soon as I could make hair decisions on my own I started letting my hair grow. I may have reached the end of that cycle though - it's falling out faster than it's growing - but I intend to hang onto every shred until there ain't no more. My aunt told me that before my Uncle passed away he was about to retire and was planning to grow his hair out long again just because of me. Happy and sad all at once, ya know? It was an honor to know him and more-so to know that he thought well of me.
