A lovely kilted Friday. Coffee with a former co-worker, then stayed and did some remote work at the cafe. An older guy next to me asked if I was going to play some music, which I said no to after I figured out he meant the pipes. Then he quizzed me about my ancestry. Then he asked if I wear a kilt every day and I told him yes, most days, but not while at work. Then he told me how great Edinburgh is and that I need to visit. All in all, positive.
Off to run errands at lunch. A couple of 2nd looks or double-takes, but no comments positive or negative.

Well not a genuine adventure, but I got home tonight to find my new 5.11 TDK waiting for me! After an especially long day I won't be out and about in it tonight but I hope to put it through it's paces over the weekend!

I wore my USAKilt Semi-trad American Heritage kilt with a red polo shirt and charcoal kilt hose to work today. I have worn the kilt a couple of times to work now so no one is surprised by it anymore. I came home and changed into my USAKilt traditional wool Pennsylvania tartan kilt, jacket, vest, tie, yellow shirt, green tie, and yellow Lewis kilt hose. Attended the first show of the 2013-2014 season of the Dayton Philharmonic pop series. This one featured the music of Simon and Garfunkel. Providing the vocals singing with the DPO were Simon and Garfunkel retrospective singers A.J. Swearingen and Jon Beedle. On my way to the show I stopped for dinner at a cafeteria I frequent. Dressed up in the coat, tie, and kilt attracted a lot of attention. At least two couples stopped by my table to ask questions. So this was a very good kilted Friday.

Very smart - and you are looking good too! Is that an original colour for the Spitfire? I don't remember seeing any that shade in the UK.

So, today was my first kilted Friday. It was also Breast Cancer Awareness day at work, so I showed up in a bright pink T-shirt and my new utility kilt from UTKilts. One of my co-workers had to snap a picture on break.
Overall, I got a very positive response. Quite a few laughs, an a lot of questions.

You are correct. It has been repainted teal by the prior owner from blue.
