The giant warehouse / bulk retailer Costco does offer huge tins of Walker's shortbread during the holiday season. We stock up!

Good suggestion for the USA but elsewhere, many people wouldn't know who FDR was, let alone that he had a Scottie! And while Scotch tape is pretty much the "Hoover" of sticky tape on your side of the ponds, Selotape is more common outside.

Then again, nothing beats a nice Scottish shortbread and a wee dram of the single malt on a Christmas evening!

Heh, this time of year our Texas grocery giant, HEB, starts to carry Walker's mince pies too. When they come on the shelves, my buddy and I clean them out. It's like catnip. Love those things!

A few seconds in the microwave to warm them up (after removing the foil bottom), and they are to die for. And of course, to keep this on topic, they do use a red tartan on the package...

I know I'm straying seriously off thread, but this is for the well being of a fellow Xmarker - $7.99 for six mince pies!!! Make your own. Try this for the filling:

(you can't go wrong with Delia!)

Sorry about that, back to the National Geographic pic - not very well fitting, that kilt, perhaps they should've clicked a few X Marks Partners links?
