More Dress Blue Marine tartan kilt in Monument Valley, Utah

It was a cold windy SNOWY day for an agency "Wellness Day" but we did it - trekked 125 miles out to Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, explored, shopped, had lunch, and went back. Were about 20 of us.

Here's the blustery wind dancing in the pleats. Gotta love a hand sewn wool kilt in the wind.

One of my coworkers grew up in the area and at lunch ran into an old friend who's now a Navajo Park Ranger...so got a pic with the Ranger lady.

And, a pleat shot at East Mitten.

And a front shot at East Mitten....was a stretch to wear the men's Navajo beads with a "skirt" and high heels (the Z Coils)

The Tribal Park was thick with tourists from around the world. Go a lot of the usual questions and comments. Then an Italian guy making a movie asked me to go on camera for him and explain where we were and what the view was....hey, what the heck...did it. Something called Planet Explorer III.

Love the beads, was going to ask about them when they appeared in pic. . . then you explained! Not a stretch at all, cousin, looking good as always. Happy trails! Bob and I might even get out your way in Summer of '14.

......This is the Public Kilt Broadcasting Channel and today we are following the exploits of Rowdy Ron the RiverKilt, as he explores the fall landscape in the desert southwest......note his unusual style of exploration with the charge of the Kilted Burro Birgade across the desert as he ventures far and wide, kilted of course.......next week tune in as Rowdy Ron goes scuba diving on the barrier reef, kilted of course.........

Thanks guys and gals. Sydnie7, IF...you guys head out this way next year be sure and let me know. Can help you find some cool areas along the way and the best things to do and the stuff not to waste time or money on....jeez, maybe I am one of them travel folks....? Rather than the travel and scuba gig what I'd like to do is to convince the Navajos to raise sturgeon in Lake Powell and sell the caviar. Navajo caviar. Hey, the lake it cold and deep...sturgeon would like it.

Navajo caviar sounds a bit too much like Rocky Mt. oysters LOL

Ron, I've spent some time in the area but Bob has never been. I've seen the usual suspects (Monument Valley, Mesa Verde, Canyon de Chelly) but would love to get an insider's POV! We will definitely be in touch if the trip comes to pass.
