Super pics Den.
The first one, captioned Edinburgh University is home to the University's Faculty of Divinity. The building also contains the Assembly Hall where the Church of Scotland General Assembly holds its meetings and is also used for concerts and other events. My wife and I attended a Rewind to the 70's concert there two weeks ago which featured The Rubettes, Slade and Alvin Stardust.

Yes indeed that is New College, the Faculty of Divinity, which contains a statue of the reformer John Knox.

Your photos have brought back to me some very fond memories of my visit.
I noticed that Edinburgh Castle was decked out for the Tattoo. Did you attend?
Thank you for posting!

I have been to the Castle in October and the stands have still been up!
But the clothes would seem to indicate a warmer month.

We were not there for the Tattoo, as our visit to Edinburgh was in early July, like the 8th. And, if I'm not mistaken, the Tattoo stadium is permanent!??? It looks awful sturdy, so I couldn't see it being taken down and put back up, although I could be incorrect in my assumption!

Sturdy it may be, but it is indeed temporary and is assembled each year solely for the Tattoo.
