I'll pass it on to another member after St. Andrews Day here. It looks like Nathan from Toronto has the next request---I'm thinking that might be the next journey?

That customs statement was taped to the outside of the box when it was shipped to me from Canada. Hope it helps in reverse too.

If I may make a observation or two. The quaich is supposedly to stop with a member for a maximum period of two weeks in order that as many members as possible could host the quaich, it was suggested that it move in one direction,. This worked extremely well the first year. It was also recomended that when a person received the quaich, that they put in a post so that others in proximity of that location could put their hand up to be the next host. The next closest person would also mean that mailing costs could be kept down. It appears to me that the original intent regarding its movement has been lost and that its travels will be back and forth across the North American continent. I hope those on the west coast of North America who want to host the quaich, let the current host know of their interest.
Cheers

Thank you DownUnder Kilt for that gentle reminder.
Folks, please heed so that as many members may enjoy the quaich as possible.
We did set a two week limit on the quaich. A little planning ahead or before the quaich arrives to you is always a good thing.
We also ask that as soon as the quaich arrives that you post the location of its next stop to allow the next person time to plan.
There are two reason we asked the quaich to go in one direction. First, if it makes short hops, it keeps the postage affordable, and if a person who may have missed it in one location could, perhaps, make the short trip to its next location. One way travel also keeps expenses down especially if it is not constantly crossing borders and incurring duty charges each time.
Let's keep it moving and keep it fun.
Please remember to keep me posted on its current location and contact me as soon as you can if the logbook is getting full or if the box needs to be replaced.

Thank you Downunderkilt, and to members of the forum, please accept my apologies for not being more mindful of original (yes they make good sense) guidelines.
So...who's close to Northern Arizona and would like to take the next stint with the Quaich? Hopefully there'll be some responses and I'll try to move it along ASAP.
And good job Riverkilt, who moved it along at good pace and to the nearest available member.

Actually, it got hung up with me through a combination of illness, weather, and work demands...."Life" if you will. I know Kenneth hung on to it for the Tucson games with the intent of passing it on there.... Think its pretty normal to want to show it the best time once you see the Quaich's beauty... I see no "mal intent" along its journey so far. Most impressed by the care with which it was packaged and the pin collection that is building. My bad I didn't take a pic of the pins to share...
