    Looking good there everyone!

And very nice to see my good old friend Dave still out and about kilted. (Is that a fleur-de-lis on your sporran? How cool!)

About the vendors, it's vexing, our largest local Games (Costa Mesa) are held at a County Fairground and they control what is sold. They always bring in outside Scottish food vendors but sometimes the beer selection is appalling... Bud, Coors, Miller, and that's it! And they don't let you bring in your own beer.

And other years they'll have booths with decent stuff to drink (Newcastle, Guinness, Bass, etc).

What would really be nice is if they could open it up to some of our wonderful local micro-brews (Hanger 24, Cismontaine, etc).

Tobus, that second photo of yours with Shaun, looks like two lads that have stepped out straight from the highlands of Scotland. Looking good guys. Cheers

Good eyes, Richard. I had a Boy Scout event down the road from Salado that morning that I had to attend the opening of. I brought a change of clothes (same kilt, new shirt, hose jacket, but I forgot non scout sporran, buckle and sgian dubh.) so I wore the scout kit. A while back I adapted some off the shelf stuff for Scouting:

Amazing what you can do with a little epoxy, silver solder, a couple of tools and an eBay account.

    Very nice Dave!

I like your Black Watch style sporran there. At least in WWII those varied from regiment to regiment, the BW with the exposed brass stud like that, some with a plain flap with a hidden snap, some with tassels, some not.

I have a sporran just like that, Royal Highlanders of Canada military issue, that's awaiting me getting the right sort of BW sporran badge.
