I'm guessing that the Wallace she's referring to, is the Bonnie Heather Greene kilt she lists, in her profile. Not a short skirt.

Kilt length is still above the knee, is it not? That's considered a short skirt to many. In past discussions on funeral attire with folks around here, most conservative folks seemed to agree that a skirt any shorter than calf-length was inappropriate. But again, that's for this particular crowd here, and may not be applicable to Angela's situation.

I understand your points entirely.
Me, I tend to think of this as a "short tartan skirt":

Hardly the look of a traditional kilt. That's where I was coming from.

People wear almost anything to a funeral these days , see men in leather jackets and all sorts . Bit sad I think but if it were me who was dead I would rather have people there in their underwear than not at all ! It is about showing respect at the end of the day , hope no upset caused but people are there to grieve. And have a toast to your friends life , hope it was good .
