Ok .... here we have a quick mix of our track Cockles and Mussels. Its still all work in progress I'm afraid.
At least we know the system between us musicians is working and in the new year there will be a Rabble 5 track ep ...
Please Please do put a pair of headphones on to listen to this, as it has all been mixed in them.
So without further ado' may I introduce x marks

I am totally overawed - that such a thing is even possible! Truly, truly beautiful.
Is there any way to download this as an mp3?

I sat here with my jaw hanging open. That it's beautiful is a given, but to realize that the members of this band have never met (and may never) and that they're all my friends (whom I've never met either) is overwhelming to me. I'm deeply humbled by the performance and by the mastery of technology that is the foundation for this. Further to feel that I'm a member of "The Rabble" from whence it sprang is wonderful.
Thanks to all who participated in this wonderful project.
Now, two questions: Who are the members of this talented band, and, when is the next production?
Thank you for the gift you've given to all of us here at X-Marks!

Very cool Derek!
I see you dropped the pipes in behind the vocals, I was thinking of just something like that. Amazing what ProTools (and a savvy person who knows how to use it) can do.
Perhaps I should have done more pipe tracks, some more minimal ones (long notes with less movement) for blending in the mix behind the vocals.
It's often what one is called upon to do in studio gigs, follow along a lead sheet and do a rather broad line, avoiding sounding busy, so as not to detract from the vocals. Ah well a great learning experience, and now I have a clearer idea of some of the things I want to try next time.
I'm very anxious to work on your original song, now that we have this song more or less under the belt!
Thanks! Richard
